Didge 'N' Culture Didjeridu Shop

Didgeridoo, also called yidaki, was and is since thousands of years a ceremonial instrument of the Australian natives - the Aborigines. It is made of a is of a eucalyptus trunk hollowed by termites and even today it will be manually reworked and painted by the aborigines.

We, Marc Manu, Pi-ar and Bert decided to share our passion for this instrument with others. Amongst others we had the idea to build and sell didgeridoos. In April, 2006, Didge' A Culture celebrate their opening with a big party. The feedback was overpowering. Over the next months we formed a relaxed cooperation with Godrum.

Over the next weeks Bert found out that he has other interests and unfortunately, we had to break up from him. Nevertheless, we still have a cordial amicable relationship with him.

Meanwhile we were at festivals like “Fusion”, “Didgevillage”, “Sound of the Sun – Klang der Sonne” and “Swizzeridoo”. We were able to give the most different persons from the most different social stratum an understanding of the instrument and lead the way with open eyes.

We try to act on behalf of the Aborigines, but do not assume to reproduce the dream time. We try to create our own dream time. We learn and circulate knowledge, also with the play style.

We would never assume that we play traditionally. We learn and share the big whole. We create our own play style affected by the present and past to rock the future. We are Didge' A Culture and you are invited take part on it and with us.
